The Dallas Cowboys and the Atlanta Falcons meet Sunday in NFL action from Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Here’s an Atlanta Falcons vs Dallas Cowboys prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Falcons vs Cowboys pick.

Dallas Cowboys Betting Preview

The Cowboys got off to a middling 3-2 start this year, losing to the Saints and Ravens amid wins over the Browns, Giants and Steelers. Dallas would fall back to .500 on the season with a 47-9 blowout loss at home to the Lions in game six.

The Cowboys’ skid continued last weekend on the road versus the 49ers. Dallas was up 10-6 at the break, then gave up 21 unanswered third-quarter points in an eventual 30-24 loss. QB Dak Prescott posted 243 yards with two TDs and two interceptions. Ezekiel Elliott ran 10 times for 34 yards and a TD.

Atlanta Falcons Betting Preview

Over on the Falcons’ side, they managed a 2-2 start with wins over the Eagles and Saints mixed with losses to the Steelers and Chiefs. Atlanta won the next pair over the Buccaneers (OT) and Panthers before another loss 34-14 versus the Seahawks.

The Falcons were able to improve to 5-3 with another victory over the Buccaneers last weekend. Atlanta scored 17 points in the second quarter alone and ultimately powered out a 31-26 result. Kirk Cousins threw for 276 yards and four scores. Darnell Mooney caught five balls for 92 yards and a TD.

Atlanta Falcons vs Dallas Cowboys Prediction

I’m staying with Atlanta. The Falcons posted a gutsy win over the Bucs in their last outing, but things got pretty tight near the end. Atlanta gave up 432 yards (330 passing) and 24 first downs but also generated three takeaways. The offense notched 394 yards and went 6-of-12 on third downs for their part.

As for Dallas, they gave up 469 yards (223 rushing), 7.3 yards per play and 8-of-16 on third downs to the 49ers in their last appearance. The Cowboys went just 4-of-12 on third downs themselves and had only 56 rush yards in a pretty rough offensive outing. This matchups not going to get any easier, and I like the Falcons to power out the cover in the end.
