Giants vs Chargers Prediction
I’m going with the Chargers, but I’m probably not touching this one. Los Angeles wasn’t spectacular in their win over Denver last weekend, but they get credit for the late surge. The Chargers ended up with 8-of-17 on third-down tries and a couple of turnovers on offense, gathering 376 total yards (270 passing) and 29 first downs along the way. Los Angeles’ defense was pretty good despite not generating a turnover, allowing 265 yards (147 passing), nine first downs and 2-of-13 on third-down conversions. Denver’s 10 penalties for 90 yards were helpful to the cause as well. LA hasn’t given up more than 21 points in any game yet this year, but they also haven’t scored more than 27 points in any game this year.
As for the Giants, they didn’t look too bad in the first half against Kansas City but eventually posted a couple of interceptions and a miserable 1-of-10 effort on third-down tries. New York has scored more than nine points exactly once in three games (37 versus the Cowboys) and they’ve given up at least 21 points in each outing. I can’t trust them to do anything right now.
