Those who have followed me over the years know my handicapping in preseason is all about the quarterback position. The rest of the positions are toss-ups, and you have no idea who is going to play nd for how long. The one constant thing is decent quarterback play and the guys who can put points on the board.
I like the over in this spot as both teams have quarterbacks either fighting for a starting role or a job in general. Tagovailoa and Penix seem to be a QB battle, but Rush is also somebody who can put together a decent drive or two. Richardson is still looking for his place in the league, and Leonard is a playmaker who could have a long career even if it’s a backup role. Competition creates more consistent playing time and increases the chances of sustaining drives and scoring. This should be a high-scoring game. Give me the over.
