ANDREW’S FREE PICK
I’ll stick with the Colts in this one. It’s hard to know what to make of this Indianapolis team thus far, but they’re coming off a gritty win over a pretty good Ravens squad. The Colts posted 327 total yards (188 passing) in that one with 19 first downs, 36:33 in time of possession and zero turnovers. Indianapolis went just 8-of-22 on third downs and averaged just 3.9 yards per play, however. That said, another good defensive effort here will put the Colts in a nice spot.
As for the Rams, on Monday they had a miserable offensive outing with just 15 first downs, two turnovers, 24:00 in time of possession and a terrible 1-of-11 rate on third-down conversions. Los Angeles’ defense did a pretty darn good job however, all things considered. I like the Rams to come back stronger in this one but I don’t think they’ll beat Indianapolis.
