The Houston Texans and the Jacksonville Jaguars meet Sunday in NFL action from Wembley Stadium. Here’s a Jaguars vs Texans prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Jaguars vs Texans pick.

Houston Texans Betting Preview

This year the Texans have had some struggles, but to be fair most of their losses have been pretty close. Houston opened up with a 36-31 defeat at home versus Buffalo, then lost 20-6 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Game three was another close loss 19-17 versus the Indianapolis Colts, then came a 34-30 loss to the Dallas Cowboys for an 0-4 start.

Last weekend versus the Tennessee Titans, the Texans finally got into the win column. Houston posted four field goals in the first half then added a couple of touchdowns in the second on the way to a dominant 26-3 victory. QB CJ Stroud was 26-of-34 for 261 yards and a touchdown. Woody Marks was the leading rusher in the win with 15 carries for 62 yards.

Jacksonville Jaguars Betting Preview

Over on the Jags’ side, they’ve started out the year fairly well so far. The Jaguars kicked things off with a 34-10 win over the Cleveland Browns, but then took their first loss of the season 20-13 versus the Denver Broncos. The next two games were both wins, 35-6 versus the New England Patriots and 22-17 over the Cincinnati Bengals. In the first four games the Jags went 3-1 overall.

Matched up against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday the Jaguars jumped out to an early lead but then gave up a couple of touchdowns in the second quarter. Jacksonville battled back and posted a field goal as time expired for a thrilling 19-17 win. QB Trevor Lawrence was 24-of-39 for 331 yards, two scores and a pick. Parker Washington caught both TDs among his six grabs for 124 yards.

Jaguars vs Texans Prediction

I’ll lean toward the Jaguars. Well, Jacksonville needed a dramatic finish but they were able to eke past the Eagles last weekend thanks to 18 first downs and 408 total yards. The Jags went just 5-of-16 on third downs, but the defense kept them in it with just 13 first downs and 232 total yards allowed. I’d like to see the Jaguars post a nice points total here; they’ve been at 22 or fewer points in three of the last four outings. Jacksonville has given up 20 or fewer points in every game so far, though.

As for Houston, they got a nice influx of confidence by beating up on a struggling Titans squad last weekend. The Texans D gave up just 15 first downs, 187 total yards and 4-of-11 on third downs. Offensively it was 20 first downs and 329 total yards. Houston will likely be outclassed here if the Jags play well.
