New Orleans Saints vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Prediction
I’m going to lean toward the Saints. On Monday New Orleans posted just 220 total yards (174 passing) with 14 first downs and 4.3 yards per play. Carr came out of the game late due to an oblique injury, capping a rough night out for the Saints. We’ll have to see how things work out in that regard. If backup Jake Haener has to step in (which seems pretty likely), I’m probably still going to lean toward New Orleans but probably staying away.
As for Tampa Bay, they gave up a truckload of offense to the Falcons in their last outing. Atlanta mustered 550 total yards (447 passing), 6.8 yards per play, and 28 first downs. The good news is that the Bucs’ own offense did fairly well outside of a lost fumble and a tepid 173 passing yards. The Saints should have some opportunities here, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see a close, high-scoring matchup.
