The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New York Giants meet in week 12 NFL action from MetLife Stadium on Sunday afternoon. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a NY Giants vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Prediction.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Recap

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers come into this one looking to bounce back after falling to 4-6 with a 23-20 loss at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers last time out. After this game, the Bucs will head on the road for a division battle against the Carolina Panthers.

Bucs Drop 4th Straight

Baker Mayfield has thrown for 2,505 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions on 70.6% passing while Bucky Irving has rushed for 492 yards and 4 TDs. Rachaad White has 306 rushing yards while Chris Godwin has a team-high 576 receiving yards and 5 TDs but is expected to miss the rest of the year with an injury. Cade Otton has 49 grabs for 456 yards and 4 TDs while Mike Evans has 26 receptions for 335 yards and a team-high 6 touchdowns. White has 291 receiving yards with 3 TDs while another four Buccaneers have 100+ receiving yards as well on the year. On defense, Lavonte David has a team-high 72 total tackles including 3 sacks while Vita Vea has a team-high 5 sacks on the year. As a unit, Tampa Bay’s defense has combined for 28 sacks and 5 interceptions as well on the year.

Why the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will win

  • The Buccaneers have won each of their last seven games against NFC opponents on a losing streak.
  • The Giants have lost each of their last five games against teams that held a losing record.
  • The Buccaneers have covered the spread in eight of their last nine road games following a home loss.
  • The Giants have failed to cover the spread in each of their last five Sunday games played on the East Coast.

New York Giants Recap

The New York Giants come into this one looking to bounce back after a 20-17 loss at the hands of the Carolina Panthers last time out to fall to 2-8 on the year. After this game, the Giants will head on the road for a Thanksgiving tilt with the Dallas Cowboys.

Giants Make QB Change

Daniel Jones has thrown for 2,070 yards, 8 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions on 63.3% passing but has been benched in favor of Drew Lock and Tommy Devito it was announced earlier this week. Tyrone Tracy Jr. has 545 rushing yards to lead the Giants along with 3 TDs while Devin Singletary has 323 rushing yards and 2 TDs. Malik Nabers has a team-high 61 receptions for 607 yards and 3 touchdowns while Wan’Dale Robinson has 56 receptions for 394 receiving yards and Darius Slayton has 469 receiving yards this season. On defense, Bobby Okereke has a team-high 75 total tackles while Dexter Lawrence has a team-high 9 sacks and Brian Burns and Azeez Ojulari each have 6 sacks on the year. As a unit, the Giants have combined for 36 sacks and an interception so far this season.

Why the New York Giants will win

  • The Giants have won four of their last five November games as home underdogs.
  • The Buccaneers have lost each of their last five road games in November.
  • The underdogs have covered the spread in each of the Giants’ last six Week 12 games.
  • The Buccaneers have failed to cover the spread in each of their last five road games before a Division game.

NY Giants vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Prediction

I’m on the Bucs here. I sometimes know, a QB change can spark a team, kind of like how it did for the Raiders earlier this season and the Panthers as well. However, the Giants are a lost cause and no QB change is going to save this team. The Bucs at least still have some hope, as the NFC South is still one of the most volatile divisions in football where anything can happen, and I think that they’re still more than alive at this point. Give me the Bucs.
