The Seattle Seahawks and the New York Jets meet Sunday in NFL action from MetLife Stadium. Here’s a NY Jets vs Seattle Seahawks Prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Jets vs Seahawks pick.

Seattle Seahawks Betting Preview

The Seahawks opened up the year with wins over the Broncos, Patriots, and Dolphins. Seattle would then fall to the Lions, Giants, and 49ers in the next three. Since then it’s been a 3-2 stretch for the Seahawks with wins over the Falcons, 49ers, and Cardinals.

Matched up against the Cardinals last weekend, Seattle held Arizona to just a pair of field goals in a 16-6 victory. QB Geno Smith finished with 254 yards, one TD, and one interception. Jaxson Smith-Njigba caught the score among his six grabs for 77 yards.

New York Jets Betting Preview

Over on the Jets’ side, they’ve had quite a miserable season. New York lost to the 49ers, Broncos, Vikings, Bills, Steelers, and Patriots over their first eight games. Since then it’s been a win over the Texans before losses to the Cardinals and Colts.

Back on November 17 in their last appearance versus Indianapolis, the Jets continued to find new ways to lose. New York had a 20-15 second-half edge but still fell 28-27. Aaron Rodgers threw for 184 yards and two touchdowns. Breece Hall carried 16 times for 78 yards and a score as the lead rusher.

NY Jets vs Seattle Seahawks Prediction

I’ll stay with Seattle. The Seahawks’ defense was pretty darn good against Arizona last weekend, holding the Cards to just 298 yards (249 passing), 15 first downs, and 3-of-12 on third-down tries. Offensively Seattle had a pretty tepid game (285 total yards) but went a decent 7-of-14 on third downs to keep the chains moving. The Seahawks have held opponents to 17 points or fewer in three of the last five games, winning all three of those.

As for New York, they get a rest advantage here, giving the team some time to diagnose their failures thus far—of which there are many. In the Colts game, the Jets offense continued to struggle with 253 yards (162 passing), 10 first downs, and a 4-of-13 success rate on third downs. Oddly enough the 27 points were the team’s highest total of the year, coming on the heels of a measly six points versus Arizona. New York’s once-vaunted defense has given up 59 combined points over the last two games and I don’t see them slowing down Seattle well enough to win/cover.
