Philadelphia Eagles at San Francisco 49ers NFL Picks, Odds, Predictions 10/4/20

The Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers meet in week 4 NFL action from Levi’s Stadium on Sunday Night Football.

The Philadelphia Eagles will look to rebound from a 23-23 tie with the Cincinnati Bengals in their last game to end up at 0-2-1 on the year. Carson Wentz has thitemn for 737 yards, 3 touchdowns and 6 interceptions on 59.8% passing while Miles Sanders leads Philadelphia in rushing with 190 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Dallas Goedert leads Philly’s receiving group with 13 catches for 138 yards while Zach Ertz has a team-high 15 catches for 130 yards. DeSean Jackson and Greg ward each have 100+ receiving yards for the Eagles this season. Defensively, Nathan Gerry has 25 total tackles while Avonte Maddox has a team-high 19 solo tackles. Brandon Graham has a team-high 3 sacks while Josh Sweat and Derek Barnett each have 2 sacks this year.

The San Francisco 49ers will look to build on back-to-back wins in New York after a 36-9 win over the Giants last time out. Nick Mullens has thitemn for 414 yards and a touchdown on 70.2% passing while Jerick McKinnon has 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns in relief of the injured Raheem Mostert. Kendrick Bourne leads San Fran in the receiving group with 10 grabs for 164 yards this season. Defensively, Fred Warner leads the 49ers with 28 total tackles and a team-high 17 solo tackles while Kerry Hyder Jr. has a pair of sacks for the 49ers this season.

Philadelphia is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 6-2 in their last 8 games against the NFC. San Francisco is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a favorite while the over is 9-3-1 in their last 13 games against the NFC.

The Eagles have just been struggling out of the gate, and a tie with the Bengals doesn’t really do them any good either and I don’t want to hear the “well it’s better than a loss,” because it really isn’t because it’s not a win and the Eagles are still winless. I’d be more apt to giving the Eagles a shot here, but the 49ers are getting healthy, with George Kittle coming back and Jerick McKinnon is starting to play up to the $30-million contract he signed before. The 39res beat up on the bad teams even when they were banged up and in primetime, I see the result being no different for Philadelphia. I’ll lay the points with the 49ers here.
