The San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs clash Sunday in week 7 NFL action from Levi’s Stadium.

The Kansas City Chiefs will look to bounce back after a 24-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills dropped them to 4-2 on the year. Patrick Mahomes has thrown for 1,736 yards, 17 touchdowns and 4 interceptions on 65.9% passing while Clyde Edwards-Helaire has a team-high 256 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns. Travis Kelce leads KC’s receiving group with 41 grabs for 455 receiving yards and 7 TDs while JuJu Smith-Schuster has 370 receiving yards as well. Marquez Valdes-Scantling also has 258 receiving yards and Mecole Hardman, Skyy Moore and the aforementioned Edwards-Helaire each have 100+ receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Nick Bolton has a team-high 60 total tackles with a pair of sacks while L’Jarius Snead and Chris Jones each have a team-high 3 sacks as well this season.

The San Francisco 49ers will look to rebound from a 28-14 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, falling to 3-3 on the year as a result. Jimmy Garoppolo has thrown for 1,153 yards, 7 touchdowns and 3 interceptions on 63.5% passing while Jeff Wilson Jr. has a team-high 400 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns this season. Deebo Samuel leads the 49ers in receiving with 27 catches for 345 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Brandon Aiyuk has 25 grabs for 320 yards and 3 this season. On defense, Dre Greenlaw has a team-high 55 total tackles including 34 solo tackles while Nick Bosa has a team-high 6 sacks and the 49ers as a team have 5 interceptions this season.

Kansas City is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall while the over is 6-1 in their last 7 road games. San Francisco is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 home games and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record.

I get the case to be made for either side here, but I’m leaning towards the over. This Kansas City offense can put up points with the best of them, and while San Francisco has an outstanding scoring defense, I think they’ll be challenged here by a walking cheat code like Patrick Mahomes. On the other side, the 49ers are capable of putting points up and I think they’ll have to if they want any chance in this game. I’ll side with the over.
