The St. Louis Blues and the San Jose Sharks meet in NHL action from the SAP Center on Thursday night.

The St. Louis Blues will look to bounce back from a 3-2 OT loss to Boston last time out. Vladimir Tarasenko has 78 points with 33 goals and 45 assists while Jordan Kyrou also has 68 points with 25 goals and 43 assists. Pavel Buchnevich has 71 points with 28 goals and 43 assists and Robert Thomas also has 74 points with 55 assists and David Perron has 55 points with 26 goals and 29 assists as well this season. Jordan Binnington has made 34 appearances in goal, going 16-13-4 with a 3.14 GAA and a .903 save percentage while Ville Husso is 24-6-6 with a 2.46 GAA and a .923 save percentage this season.

The San Jose Sharks will try to build on their 3-2 win over Columbus last time out. Timo Meier leads the Sharks in scoring with 73 points including a team-high 33 goals and 40 assists while Logan Couture has 51 points with 23 goals and 28 assists. Tomas Hertl has 62 points with 28 goals and 34 apples and Brent Burns has a team-high 41 assists this season. Adin Hill has gone 10-11-1 with a 2.65 GAA and a .906 save percentage for the Sharks while James Reimer is 18-16-9 with a 2.84 GAA and a .912 save percentage this season.

St. Louis is 9-1 in their last 10 games overall and 4-0 in their last 4 road games and 6-1 in their last 7 games as a favorite while the over is 8-0-1 in their last 9 road games. San Jose is 0-5 in their last 5 Thursday games and 0-7 in their last 7 games against the Central division while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games after allowing 2 goals or less in their previous game.

I get why you could take a look at a home dog in certain spots, but this is not one of those spots. The Blues are just the far better team with something to play for here as they’re trying to get home ice for their first-round playoff series against Minnesota. San Jose has played themselves out of the race a while ago and there’s nothing for the Sharks to play for except their contract obligations and pride. I’ll side with the Blues to grab the win in regulation here.
