In this article we will formulate a Canucks vs Wild prediction for this NHL game on Sunday, October 25th at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this NHL matchup.

Vancouver Canucks Betting Preview

The Vancouver Canucks are 2-9-1 this season after they lost to the Red Wings by a score of 5-2 in their last game. Vancouver cut the deficit to 2-1 in the first period, but they allowed the next three goals to seal the loss. The Canucks were out shot by a total of 31-13, won 50% of the face-offs, and went 1-4 on the power play in the game. Vancouver was led by Jonathan Lekkerimaki, who had one goal and one assist, while Kevin Lankinen stopped 26 out of 31 shots in the loss.

Prior to that game, Vancouver lost to the Hurricanes by a score of 6-3 and the Lightning by a score of 4-2. The Canucks have scored 2.92 goals per game and they have allowed 4.67 goals against per game, while also going 22.2% on the power play and 65% on the penalty kill this season. Elias Pettersson has led the team with four goals and eight assists, while Leevi Merilainen is 1-2-1 with a 2.95 goals against average and a .917 save percentage this season.

Minnesota Wild Betting Preview

The Minnesota Wild are playing a late game on Saturday night, which is not included in this article. The Wild are 6-3-2 this year after they lost to the Flames by a score of 2-1 in their last game. Minnesota allowed two goals in the first period and couldn’t overcome the deficit in the loss. The Wild out shot Calgary by a total of 37-22, won 56.6% of the face-offs, and went 0-4 on the power play in the game. Minnesota was led by Michael McCarron, who had one goal, while Jesper Wallstedt stopped 20 out of 22 shots in the game.

Prior to that loss, Minnesota lost to the Oilers by a score of 4-3, but did beat the Blue Jackets by a score of 2-1 before that. The Wild have scored 2.91 goals per game and they have allowed 2.46 goals against per game, while also going 25.7% on the power play and 78.4% on the penalty kill this season. Kirill Kaprizov has led the team with 11 goals and six assists, while Calvin Pickard is 0-1-0 with a 5.00 goals against average and an .800 save percentage this year.

Canucks vs Wild Prediction

Vancouver comes into this matchup on a long losing streak and they have allowed 15 goals in their last three games. The Canucks are 1-4-0 at home this year, while the Wild are 3-3-2 on the road. Minnesota has won three of their last five games and they have allowed two goals or fewer in three of their last four. The Wild will be on a back to back in this one and I don’t love Pickard in net, but I will take them to win in regulation.
