In this article, we will formulate a Hockey Club vs Jets Prediction for this NHL game on Saturday, April 5th at the Climate Pledge Arena. Let’s take a look at a Utah Hockey Club vs Winnipeg Jets picks.

What a Win for the Jets

The Jets went on the road in the last game against the Vegas Golden Knights, and they ended up securing the 4-0 victory. At the end of the first period, they were up 2-0, and they never looked back on the way to the win. Eric Comrie was in goal and he saved all 26 of the shots that he faced. Adam Lowry, Colin Miller, Cole Perfetti, and Mark Scheifele all scored a goal for Winnipeg.

Winnipeg is averaging 3.42 goals per game, while its defense is giving up 2.31 goals per game. The offense is ranked 4th in the league, while the defense is ranked 1st. Most want to talk about the offense, but what the defense has done has been nothing short of amazing. Connor Hellebuyck is expected to start in goal. He has a 41-11-3 record and is giving up 2.03 goals per game.

Utah Looks to Bounce Back

Utah’s biggest issue has been inconsistency, and they really struggled in the last game. Utah’s defense was good the first two periods, but in the third period, they gave up three goals and that led to the defeat. Jack McBain scored a goal and added an assist, but that wasn’t enough with the defensive breakdown late. Two games ago against the Calgary Flames they ended up picking up 3-1 win.

Utah is averaging 2.8 goals while their defense is giving up 3.03 goals per game. The offense is ranked 22nd in the league while the defense is ranked 18th. They are averaging 28.1 shots per game which is 17th. Karel Vejmelka is expected to get the start and he sits with a 23-21-7 and he’s giving up 2.56 goals per game.

Utah vs Jets Prediction

With the way the Jets looked in the last game, I am not interested betting against them, even on the road. Utah on the season is averaging only 2.8 goals per game and they are going to really struggle to get any sort of offense going in this game. Vejmelka is going to dominate early, and he won’t take his foot off the gas. Utah is 1-9 in their last ten games as a home underdog. It won’t get any easier here. Back the Jets on the money line.
