In this article, we will formulate an LA Kings vs Minnesota Wild prediction for this NHL game on Saturday, December 7th at crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this NHL matchup.

LA Kings Betting Preview

The Los Angeles Kings are 15-8-3 this year after they defeated Dallas by a score of 3-2 in their last game. Los Angeles trailed 2-0 after the first period, but they scored the last three goals in the game for the win. The Kings were outshot by a total of 28-17, won 44% of the face-offs, and went 0-2 on the power play in the game. Los Angeles got goals from Foegele, Jeannot, and Edmundson, while Rittich stopped 26 out of 28 shots in the win.

Prior to that game, the Kings won three games in a row against Ottawa, Anaheim, and Winnipeg. Los Angeles has scored 3.04 goals per game and they have allowed 2.65 goals against per game, while also going 16% on the power play and 79.3% on the penalty kill this season. Anze Kopitar has led LA with eight goals, 22 assists, and 32 shots on goal, while David Rittich is 10-6-0 with a 2.45 goals-against average and a .891 save percentage this year.

Minnesota Wild Betting Preview

The Minnesota Wild are 18-4-4 this season after they defeated Anaheim by a score of 5-1 in their last game. Minnesota scored the first four goals in the game, but they did allow a goal in the third to ruin the shutout. The Wild outshot Anaheim by a total of 33-27, won 58.2% of the face-offs, and went 1-3 on the power play in the game. Minnesota got goals from Boldy, Kaprizov, Rossi (2), and Trenin, while Gustavsson stopped 26 out of 27 shots in the win.

Prior to that game, the Wild won four games in a row against Vancouver, Nashville, Chicago, and Buffalo. Minnesota has scored 3.20 goals per game and they have allowed 2.32 goals against per game, while also going 19.4% on the power play and 73.3% on the penalty kill this season. Kirill Kaprizov has led Minnesota with 16 goals, 23 assists, and 77 shots on goal, while Marc-Andre Fleury is 5-0-1 with a 2.64 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage.

LA Kings vs Minnesota Wild Prediction

Los Angeles comes into this matchup on a four-game winning streak and they have allowed just six goals in those four games. The Kings are 9-2-1 at home this year, while the Wild are 11-1-3 on the road. Minnesota has won five games in a row, but they will be on a back-to-back after playing on Friday. Both teams have been very strong defensively and I think we are going to see a lower-scoring battle, but I am going with the Kings here, as they are the better-rested team.
