Kings Preview

The Los Angeles Kings are 43-26-11 this season after they defeated the Ducks by a score of 3-1 in their last game. Los Angeles had their lead cut to 2-1 in the third period, but they scored the last goal to pull away for the win. The Kings were out shot by a total of 29-28 and went 1-4 on the power play in the game. LA defeated Calgary by a score of 4-1 in the game prior to Anaheim, but did lose to the Ducks on the road prior to that. The Kings are scoring 3.10 goals per game and they are allowing 2.54 goals against per game, while going 22.5% on the power play and 85.1% on the penalty kill. Adrian Kempe has led LA with 27 goals, 46 assists, and 241 shots on goal. The projected starting goalie for Los Angeles is Cam Talbot, who is 26-19-6 this year with a 2.46 goals against average and a .916 save percentage.

Wild Preview

The Minnesota Wild are 38-32-10 this year after they defeated San Jose by a score of 6-2 in their last game. Kings vs Wild Prediction

Minnesota comes into this matchup already eliminated from postseason contention and they are only 18-18-4 on the road this season. LA has won five of their last six games and they are trying to hold onto the third spot in the Pacific, but the Golden Knights are in pursuit. The Kings have played very strong defense this season and they are 21-11-7 at home. LA has won the first two meetings with Minnesota by scores of 7-3 and 6-0, and I think we are going to see a similar result here. Take the Kings to win by at least two goals.
