In this article, we will formulate a Minnesota Wild vs Seattle Kraken Prediction for this NHL game on Saturday, October 12th, at the Xcel Energy Center.

Kraken Blew First Game

The Kraken had a 2-0 lead in the first game against the St. Louis Blues, and it looked like they were going to cruise to a victory. After taking the lead though, the defense couldn’t make the stops, and they ended up giving three goals in the second period, and they ended up losing. Vince Dunn scored a goal and had four shots on goal. Eeli Tovanen also finished with a goal and added an assist. Phillip Grubauer started in goal, and he saved 22 of the 25 shots that he faced. In this game, the Kraken need to get out to a fast start, but they also need the defense to be better and not blow another lead if they are able to get it. The Kraken will meet the Stars after this one.

Wild Pull-Out Win

The Wild didn’t exactly dominate the first game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, but they were able to secure the 3-2 victory. The Wild, at one point, had a 3-1 lead, and then good goaltending ended up being enough to secure the victory. Matt Boldy got out to a flying start and finished with one goal and one assist. Fillip Gustavsson started in goal, and he saved 31 of the 33 shots that he had faced. Whoever ends up starting in goal in this game for the Wild really needs the defense to be good and to especially be good early to really get the crowd behind them.

Why the Wild Will Beat the Kraken

  • The Kraken have lost five of their last six games.
  • The Wild have won nine of their last 12 night games against Pacific Division opponents.
  • The Wild have covered the puck line in three of their last four games as favorites against Western Conference opponents.
  • The Kraken have lost the first period in four of their last five games as road underdogs.

Minnesota Wild vs Seattle Kraken Production

The Wild are going to be the team that comes out on top here. The Kraken blew the first game and that had to be a real shot at their confidence. The goaltending was good in the first game of the Wild, and it’s going to be good again here. The Kraken are going to really struggle to get any sort of offense going, and it’s going to be the Wild that get the job done here. Back the Wild on the money line.
