Two players found their place in our Sharks vs Kings NHL Player Props for Monday, January 22. The Los Angeles Kings are looking to add the eighth straight victory over the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks, on the other end, hope to avoid the fourth straight defeat on the road.

Sharks vs Kings NHL Player Props – Trevor Moore Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (-110)

Even though he is not the team’s top point-maker (32), Trevor Moore is surely the most aggressive when it comes to shooting. In 43 games this season, Moore attempted a team-high 138 shots on goal, which is 3.20 per game.

In five of the previous six outings, Moore registered 4+ shots and managed to get four points in that stretch. He faces the weakest defense in the NHL that allowed a league-high 186 goals. I am pretty sure Moore will get plenty of opportunities to score.

Moore faced the Sharks on two occasions this season. He had three and four shots in those games, respectively. He failed to find the back of the net in three consecutive games. Even if he fails to do so on Monday, I am backing him to attempt at least four shots.

Anze Kopitar Over 0.5 Assists (-115)

Anze Kopitar is the joint top team’s point-maker with 39 so far. He is the second-best assist-maker with 25 dishes. He didn’t register a point over the past four games, but I think Anze has a great matchup to do so against the Sharks.

The Slovenian center loves to play against San Jose. In 91 games against the Sharks, Kopitar has 70 points, 43 of which are assists. I don’t like the odds on him to get a point in this one, and that’s why I opted for an assist. Trevor Moore or Adrian Kempe could easily get a goal against the worst D in the league, and Kopitar could be the one to assist them.

Kopitar is logging 19:30 TOI on average this year – the most of any forward on the Kings. That gives me hope he’ll contribute offensively with a minimum of one dish.
