Legal North Dakota Online Gambling, Poker & Casinos

Although North Dakota is one of the lowest-populated states in the US (740,000+), the state has exceptionally open laws on most forms of gambling.

In fact, there are 27 legalized gaming venues throughout North Dakota, with six tribal casinos forming the centerpiece of the state's gambling industry.

Almost all other forms of gambling are permitted here, too, except greyhound racing, with even bars and restaurants permitted to host video lottery gaming. Almost half ($200 million) of the state's $450 million annual gambling revenues derive from charitable gambling establishments.

North Dakota Gambling Laws - Summary and Look to the Future

The online gambling industry is not addressed directly in North Dakota's penal code. As with many other US states, its legislature states that "any device, machine, paraphernalia or equipment" that is used to place bets is considered illegal.

However, at the time of writing, no resident appears to have been prosecuted for online gambling. Therefore, those who place online wagers with offshore sites within the state border should be safe enough.
