Adrian Mannarino will meet Jordan Thompson in the Quarter-Finals of the 2023 Hall of Fame Championships. The match will be played on Thursday July 20th, 2023. 

Adrian Mannarino is the second seed here at the Hall of Fame Championships in Newport and is ranked 38th in the world. The grass court specialist has been in fine so far on his surface of choice, and has a real chance of winning the title this week. After a First Round bye, he cruised past Rinky Hijikata 6-3, 6-4, in a match that he controlled from start to finish. Breaking 5 times and winning almost 80% of his first serve points, he was rarely troubled en route to victory and starts as the big favorite her against Jordan Thompson. 

Jordan Thompson is the 7th seed here at the 2023 Hall of Fame Championships and is ranked 69th in the world. After a dominant First Round win where he dropped only one game, he was just as impressive in his win over Liam Broady, winning 6-2, 6-2. He didn’t face a break point, hit 7 aces and won 94% of points on his first serve. In this type of form he will be very hard to beat but he comes up against one of the premier grass court players in the world in Adrian Mannarino. 

Normally I would predict a comfortable win for Adrian Mannarino given the surface, but Jordan Thompson has been in incredible form so far this week at the 2023 Hall of Fame Championships. The Aussie has served ridiculously well, and only dropped 5 games across his first two wins. It’ll be a tough match, but i’m still backing the Frenchman here. His experience on this surface should see him through and while Thompson will run him close if he is serving well, I expect Mannarino to have just enough to edge it. Mannarino in three.
