Frances Tiafoe will meet Marton Fucsovics in the Semi-Finals of the 2023 Stuttgart Open. The match will be played on Saturday June 17th, 2023. 

Third seeded Frances Tiafoe will seek to reach his first ever grass-court Final when he takes on Marton Fucsovics here at the 2023 Stuttgart Open. The young American has been impressive this week, most recently taking out Lorenzo Musetti in three gruelling sets. Hitting 10 aces, he was at his aggressive best from the baseline, although he did commit far too many unforced errors. He is the favorite here against Fucsovics but should be on his guard, as few players have the unpredictability and the upside of the Hungarian. 

Marton Fusovics is perhaps a surprise Semi-Finalist here at the 2023 Stuttgart Open, but it has been well deserved. Possessing huge upside and weapons, he has had a very inconsistent career but everyone is well aware of what he is capable of. The world number 86 has already won 5 matches so far this week, coming through the Qualifying Rounds to defeat players such as Denis Shapovalov and most recently second seeded Taylor Fritz in straight sets. He enters this match against Frances Tiafoe as the underdog, but if he plays like how he did against Fritz he is in with a big opportunity here. 

This should be a thrilling match between two heavy hitters. It really depends on Fucsovics, who was hugely impressive against Taylor Fritz, but he is known to be disappointing at times. The same pick here is Frances Tiafoe, who is stronger mentally and a much more consistent player. It’ll be tight either way, but give me the American to claim the win and move on to the Final here at the 2023 Stuttgart Open.
