Frances Tiafoe will meet Sebastian Korda in the Round of 16 at the 2023 Queen’s Championships. The match will be played on Wednesday June 21st, 2023. 

Fourth seeded American Frances Tiafoe has been in red-hot form lately, and is the newest entrant in the ATP’s top 10 rankings. Sitting at 27-9 on the season, he claimed his first grass-court title last week in Stuttgart and has to be considered one of the favorites this week here at the 2023 Queen’s Championships. His aggressive, all-court game and big serve are perfect weapons for this surface and it was a matter of him getting enough experience. He enters this match against Sebastian Korda as the favorite, but will know how dangerous his countryman can be. 

Sebastian Korda is unseeded here at the 2023 Queen’s Championships and is ranked 32nd in the world. While he has the game for grass he has not yet had success on it, but is very dangerous with his massive serve and baseline game. He beat the dangerous Dan Evans 6-4, 7-5 in the First Round, a very good win over the veteran in a match where he served 13 aces. He wil be relying on his serve here against the red-hot Tiafoe, but will be up against it here. 

This will be an exciting match between two similar players, but it is difficult to see any outcome other than a Frances Tiafoe win. Sebastian Korda is a great young player with lots of potential, but Tiafoe is in the form of his life, and is much more comfortable on this quicker surface. Korda will push him close due to his serve, but expect Frances to win the bigger points and take this match, moving on to the Quarter-Finals here at Queen’s.
