Novak Djokovic will meet Andrey Rublev in the Quarter-Finals of the 2023 Wimbledon Championships. The match will be played on Tuesday July 11th, 2023. 

World number two and second seeded Novak Djokovic is within three wins of a record equalling eighth Wimbledon title. The defending champion has been at his clinical best this week here at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships, only really being tested so far by Hubert Hurkacz in the Round of 16. He was stretched to four sets, but never seemed to be truly in danger of losing the match. His counterpunching game style and experience make him almost impossible to beat, especially since there is noone left in the draw to have beaten him here before. Andrey Rublev is a good player, but grass is his least favored surface so Djokovic is the big favorite to win. 

Andrey Rublev is the seventh seed here at the 2023 Wimbeldon Championships, and has had a solid campaign here so far this week. The Russian was pushed to the absolute limit in the Round of 16 by Alexander Bublik, coming within a few points of elimination before recovering to win. He served very well in that match, hitting 20 aces, and that will have to be further improved against Novak Djokovic, arguably the best returner in history. Rublev will have to go for broke here, and even his best might not be good enough. 

Despite all of Andrey Rublev’s skills and accolates, I am predicting a rather comfortable win for Novak Djokovic. He simply does not lose at Wimbledon these days, and is on an incredible 32 match winning streak. He is far and away the best grass court player in the world, and it would take a miracle to stop him here. Bet the straight sets market if you want to take a slight risk to boost profits, but a Djokovic win overall is as safe a bet as can be here at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships.
