Novak Djokovic will meet Hubert Hurkacz in the Round of 16 at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships. The match will be played on Sunday July 9th, 2023. 

World number two and second seeded Novak Djokovic is on a mission here at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships. He has the opportunity to extend his record number of Grand Slam titles, equal the record for Wimbledon titles, and is in the hunt for a calendar-year Grand Slam. He crushed Stan Wawrinka 6-1, 6-3, 7-6 in the Third Round to improve his 2023 record to 30-4 and simply seems unstoppable at the moment, with noone left in the draw to have defeated him at this event. 

Hubert Hurkacz is the 17th seed here at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships and is ranked 18th on the ATP Tour. The big serving Pole has had success here before, and when his serve is on he can be almost impossible to defeat. Unfortunately for him, he is coming up against arguably the greatest returner and player that the world has ever seen in Novak Djokovic. He was impressive in his straight-sets win over the in-form Lorenzo Musetti and even though he is the underdog here, he is a very dangerous opponent for the world number two. 

Novak Djokovic should win this match comfortably, and I honestly don’t see anyone stopping him here at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships. He gets better and better as the tournaments go on, and he has had an impressive start. Hubert Hurkacz has one of the biggest games in world tennis, but Djokovic has the defence to nullify that and should be able to carve out the win in three tough sets here at Wimbledon, moving on to yet another Quarter-Final here at the All-Engand Club.
