Novak Djokovic will meet Karen Khachanov in the Quarter-Finals of the 2023 French Open. The match will be played on Tuesday June 6th, 2023. 

Novak Djokovic is the favorite to win this year’s French Open title and the third seed has been dominant so far, cruising through to the Quarter-Finals with little fuss. He crushed Juan Pablo Varillas 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 in the Round of 16, and will be expecting to win this match against Karen Khachanov, an opponent that he has dominated throughout his career. They met earlier this year in Paris with the Serbian winning 6-4, 6-1, and he has the big edge ahead of this encounter. 

Karen Khachanov is the massive underdog here against Novak Djokovic, but he has shown us that he should not be totally underestimated. Defeating the Serbian legend only once before in nine tries, he has looked good this week at Roland Garros, with a come from behind four set win over Lorenzo Sonego in the Round of 16. While he cannot match Djokovic tactically, his groundstrokes are so big that he can hit through him on a good day, so he can make this interesting if he is fully focused and locked in.

Novak Djokovic is the easy choice to win this one, and advance to the Semi-Finals at the 2023 French Open. Karen Khachanov is a great player, one who has reached five Grand Slam Semi-Finals before, but Djokovic clearly has his number, defeating him eight times. To lock in some more profits I think that the straight-sets market is a good shout, with Djokovic likely to grind the Russian down, and force him into numerous unforced errors. Djokovic will win here, and continue on his quest to win Slam #23.
