Stefanos Tsitsipas will meet Andy Murray in the Second Round of the 2023 Wimbledon Championships. The match will be played on Thursday July 6th, 2023. 

Stefanos Tsitsipas is the 5th seed here at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships and is also ranked 5th on the ATP Tour. The Greek superstar has been in miserable form lately, and has not had a great preparation for Wimbledon. He squeaked by Dominic Thiem in a five set thriller, but his game really wasn’t at it’s best level. While he will be happy with the win, he will have to be much improved if he is to challenge the experienced Andy Murray, who has been playing great tennis of late. 

Andy Murray is unseeded here at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships and is ranked 40th in the world. The two time champion here at the All England Club is a very good grass court player, and crushed Ryan Peniston 6-3, 6-0, 6-1 in a dominant display. While it is unlikely that Murray can go all the way here, he remains one of the top grass court players in the world and will be liking his chances here against a very vulnerable Tsitsipas. 

This should be a cracker of a match, and I am going against the rankings and picking Andy Murray to win this match. His grass court experience and game is second only to Novak Djokovic, and his confidence is sky high. On the flip side, Stefanos Tsitsipas is going through a very lean patch of form, and his confidence seem to be at an all time low. He is still a great player and will win a set or two, but back Murray, aided by the loud hometown crowd to win here, moving on to the Third Round at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships.
