Stefanos Tsitsipas will meet Laslo Djere in the Third Round at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships. The match will be played on Saturday July 8th, 2023. 

Fifth seed and world number five Stefanos Tsitsipas is still alive and kicking at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships, having survived an epic five set battle with Andy Murray. Coming from two sets to one down to win 6-4 in the fifth set, the Greek star hit 87 winners and 16 aces but will have to be much better if he is to go deeper in the tournament. He has struggled for the past few tournaments and will be hoping that he can get a confidence-boosting win here over Laslo Djere. 

Laslo Djere is unseeded here at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships and will be looking to extend his unlikely run here this week. He has taken out back to back Americans in four sets, being the underdog in each and playing some very solid tennis. While he is mostly known as a clay courter, he has been playing some good baseline tennis and he will be looking to take advantage of his vulnerable and likely very tired opponent. 

This should be a routine win for Stefanos Tsitsipas, but given his recent form, it is extremely tough to trust him. Normally, I would pick a straight sets victory but given his struggles I would just reccomend to bet the moneyline here. Tsitsipas is the much better player but after back to back five setters he will be feeling the effects of fatigue, and Laslo Djere may be able to steal an early set. He won’t have enough to win however, so back the Greek to move on here at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships.
