The Australian Big Bash league continues on Tuesday January 19th, 2021 with the match between the Perth Scorchers and the Brisbane Heat. The match will be played at approximately 4:15am EST at the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne. This is a clash between the 5th and 6th place teams who are both desperate for a victory to try to move into the top 4 spots in the table, and qualify for the next stage. The weather is expected to be very good and this pitch has generally favored teams batting first. Who will win?

The Brisbane Heat is currently sitting in 6th place in the table and has won four out of their last five matches, showing their outstanding form. Chris Lynn and Joe Burns have been in outstanding form with the bat and will be integral to them qualifying. Xavier Bartlett has been impressive with the ball and the Heat will need international Morne Morkel to step up to assist Bartlett in that department. 

The Perth Scorchers are also in good form, having won five matches in a item before losing their last one to the table topping Sydney Sixers. They have an outstanding batting attack led by Colin Munro and Jason Roy which has been important to their recent success. They are currently in 5th position but a win here will see them close in on that 4th spot. If they are able to restrict their opponents to a decent score they should have no problems knocking the runs off with their strong batting. Jhye Richardson currently has the most wickets in the competition with 19 so he will be crucial here. 

This match could be interesting, but I am going to pick the Perth Scorchers to win here. They have an extremely strong batting attack that is in good form, so they should have no issues chasing down whatever total the Heat can set for them. If the Scorchers bat first I back them to put up a large total and their bowling is strong enough to defend a decent total. Perth Scorchers are the better team and they will win here.
