Las Vegas Aces vs. Minnesota Lynx 6/19/22 WNBA Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Las Vegas Aces and Minnesota Lynx face off on Sunday in a WNBA showdown at Michelob ULTRA Arena. When these two teams faced off on May 19th it was the Aces that secured the 93-87 victory. 

The Lynx come into this game with a 3-12 record overall, but they have at least been competitive at times this season, even though they haven’t been pulling out a ton of wins. In the last game against the Seattle Storm, they were leading heading into the 4th quarter, but couldn’t hold on and lost 81-79. The Lynx are averaging 77.3 points, while their defense is giving up 84.2 points per game. Minnesota’s offense is ranked 11th in the league, while their defense is ranked 9th. The Lynx like to play at a slower pace and are ranked 8th out of 12 teams. It sounds like Sylvia Fowles is close to returning, but it might be on Sunday. Kayla McBride is averaging 14.5 points while shooting 39.8 percent from the field.

On the other side of this matchup is the Aces, who sit with a 12-2 record overall, and they have won three games in a row. They had to pay plenty to get Becky Hammon to be the coach, but it’s paying off in a big way. The last game was an impressive 92-84 victory over the Dallas Wings. The Aces are averaging 90.9 points, while their defense is giving up 80.6 points per game. The offense is ranked 1st in the league, while their defense is ranked 6th. The Aces are the top-ranked team in terms of pace this season. Kelsey Plum is having a big year, averaging 20.1 points while shooting 44.7 percent from the field. 

The Lynx kept the last game close, but I don’t see that happening again. The Lynx defense has been so bad, and this is an Aces team that could easily put up 100 points a game. Look for this game to be a shootout, and the over is going to cash.
