Las Vegas Aces vs. Minnesota Lynx
July 3, 2022 7:00 pm EDT

The Minnesota Lynx and Las Vegas Aces face off on Sunday in a WNBA showdown at the Target Center. When these two teams faced off on Friday, it was the Aces that secured the 91-85 victory.

The Lynx sit with a 6-15 record overall, but they have at least been competitive the last few weeks, and even on Friday, they were competitive. In the first half, they had some struggles, but in the second half, they looked better and made a game out of it. Two games ago against the Dallas Wings, the Lynx were able to secure the 92-64 victory. The Lynx are averaging 81 points per game, while their defense is giving up 83.9 points per game. The offense is ranked 7th, while their defense is ranked 9th. The top offensive player for the Lynx has been Sylvia Fowles, and she is averaging 15.4 points while shooting 66.3 percent from the field.

On the other side of this matchup is the Las Vegas Aces, who sit with a 15-5 record overall, and they have won two fo their last three games. This is an elite offensive team, but at times the defense has been an issue. The Aces are averaging 89.9 points, while their defense is giving up 83.1 points per game. The offense is ranked 1st in the league, while their defense is ranked 8th. Kelsey Plum has been the top player for the Aces, averaging 20.4 points while shooting 43.7 percent from the field and 42.5 percent from the field.

The Lynx are going to have a better first half in this game and that is going to be the difference as Minnesota keeps this game close. The Lynx’s offense has proven to be better the last few games, and they are going to run up the score in this game. Back the Lynx to come away with a cover of the spread.
