The New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks meet Sunday in game four of the NBA East Playoffs at State Farm Arena.

The New York Knicks need a win here to even up the series at 2-2 before going back home. The New York Knicks are averaging 100 points on 39.8 percent shooting and allowing 101.3 points on 45.1 percent shooting. Derrick Rose is averaging 24.3 points and five rebounds while Alec Burks is averaging 15.3 points and 2.7 assists. Julius Randle is the third double-digit scorer and RJ Barrett is grabbing 7.7 rebounds. The New York Knicks are shooting 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 80.9 percent from the free throw line. The New York Knicks are allowing 38.1 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 49.3 rebounds per game.

The Atlanta Hawks look for a win to take a commanding 3-1 series lead. The Atlanta Hawks are averaging 101.3 points on 45.1 percent shooting and allowing 100 points on 39.8 percent shooting. Trae Young is averaging 27.7 points and three rebounds while Bogdan Bogdanovic is averaging 17 points and six rebounds. De’Andre Hunter is the third double-digit scorer and Kevin Huerter is grabbing four rebounds. The Atlanta Hawks are shooting 38.1 percent from beyond the arc and 81 percent from the free throw line. The Atlanta Hawks are allowing 33.3 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 41.7 rebounds per game.

The Knicks are 13-4 ATS in their last 17 road games and 36-16-1 ATS in their last 53 games overall. The Hawks are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The under is 4-0 in Knicks last 4 overall. The under is 6-0 in Hawks last 6 overall. The Knicks are 18-7-1 ATS in the last 26 meetings in Atlanta and 7-2-1 ATS in the last 10 meetings.

I’ve been giving the New York Knicks the benefit of the doubt here, as they have a defensive edge and their style usually translates to playoff success. However, the Knicks are having serious issues scoring the basketball and it’s been that case for three games. You could argue the Hawks should actually be up 3-0 on the series. Only the Heat have shot worse from the field than the Knicks throughout these playoffs. I have to side with the Hawks and the reasonable chalk.
