The Utah Jazz and the New Orleans Pelicans collide at the Smoothie King Center on Monday night.

The Utah Jazz have been in great shape as they’ve won 14 of their past 17 games, but they will be looking to bounce back here after having their six-game win streak halted by the Warriors in a 123-116 home loss on Saturday. Rudy Gobert led the team with 20 points and 19 rebounds, Bojan Bogdanovic added 20 points on seven of 14 shooting, while Jordan Clarkson provided the spark off the bench with 230 points. As a team, the Jazz shot just 43 percent from the field and 14 of 44 from the 3-point line as they poured in 41 points in the third quarter to overcome a 14-point halftime deficit, only to fade away in the fourth quarter where the Warriors closed the game on a 12-5 run in the final 1:55 to steal the game from them late. Donovan Mitchell had a night to forget as he shot just four of 19 from the field while Joe Ingles scored just two points on one of seven shooting off the bench.

Meanwhile, the New Orleans Pelicans have been on a nice run as they’ve won five of their past seven games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after getting routed by the Bucks in a 136-113 road loss on Saturday. Jaxson Hayes led the team in scoring with 23 points on nine of 12 shooting off the bench, Josh Hart added 14 points with 11 rebounds and nine assists while Herbert Jones chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Pelicans shot just 41 percent from the field and 16 of 51 from the 3-point line which wasn’t nearly enough to hang with the Bucks who took the lead early and never relented.

Looking at the betting trends, the Jazz are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games, 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 1-7-1 ATS in their last nine games overall. The Pelicans are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a loss.

Head to head, the over is 22-8 in the last 30 meetings overall, the Jazz are 13-6-1 ATS in the last 20 meetings overall and the Jazz are 11-4-1 ATS in the last 16 meetings in New Orleans.

The Jazz could be missing a couple players in this one as Hassan Whiteside and Eric Paschall are both listed as questionable, while the Pelicans will be sweating on the availability of Jonas Valanciunas and Brandon Ingram who are both currently listed as questionable. The Jazz were on a roll before getting stopped in their tracks by the Warriors in their last outing, so they will be eager to make up for that, especially Mitchell who shot just four of 19 from the field. The Pelicans are coming into this game in decent form, but they just got destroyed by the Bucks and their offense is going to struggle again if Ingram isn’t able to suit up. The Jazz are 11-4-1 ATS in the last 16 meetings in New Orleans and I expect that trend to continue here as the Jazz should be too good in this spot.
