The Portland Trailblazers play host to the New York Knicks at the Moda Center on Sunday night.

The New York Knicks have been in decent form this season as they’ve won eight of their first 17 games, but they will be hoping to bounce back after having their three-game win streak halted by the Kings in a 103-94 road loss on Friday. Julius Randle led the team with 26 points, 15 rebounds and four assists, RJ Barrett added 21 points with seven rebounds and three assists while Mitchell Robinson chipped in with 12 points and 10 rebounds, but no other player finished in double figures. As a team, the Knicks shot just 38 percent from the field and a miserly five of 22 from the 3-point line as they took a five-point lead into halftime, before going ice-cold in the second half where they were outscored by 54-40. Alec Burks scored just nine points on three of 14 shooting while Elfrid Payton scored just seven points on three of 12 shooting.

Meanwhile, the Portland Trailblazers have won eight of their first 14 games, but they’ve had their last two games postponed so they haven’t played since their 125-104 loss to the Spurs on Monday. Damian Lillard led the team with 35 points and six assists on 10 of 23 shooting, Rodney Hood added 21 points on nine of 14 shooting while Carmelo Anthony chipped in with 14 points off the bench but no other player finished in double figures. As a team, the Trailblazers shot just 43 percent from the field and 10 of 35 from the 3-point line as they hung with the Spurs in a tight contest, until the fourth quarter where they got blown out by 38-22. CJ McCollum sat out the game with a fractured left foot and will miss roughly four weeks.

Looking at the betting trends, the Knicks are 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine Sunday games and 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record. The Trailblazers are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 home games.

Head to head, the under is 8-1 in the last nine meetings overall and the Knicks are 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings in Portland.

The Knicks were in decent form before getting stopped by the streaky Kings in their last outing, so they will be keen to get back on the court against the Trailblazers who haven’t played since Monday as their last two games were postponed. This should be a close one, but in the end, I think the well-rested Trailblazers can get the job done here behind a big game from Lillard.
