The Los Angeles Clippers and the Denver Nuggets do battle in Game 4 of the West Semifinals at the AdventHealth Arena on Wednesday night.

The Los Angeles Clippers will be looking to take a commanding 3-1 series lead after outlasting the Nuggets in a 113-107 win on Monday. Paul George led the way with 32 points on 12 of 18 shooting from the field, Kawhi Leonard added 23 points with 14 rebounds and six assists while Marcus Morris Sr. chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Clippers shot a healthy 54 percent from the field and 11 of 31 from the 3-point line as they really had to battle the Nuggets in a close contest, until the fourth quarter where they held the Nuggets to just 19 points to allow them to pull away. Montrezl Harrell was impactful with 11 points off the bench while Patrick Beverley deserves credit for his defense in his 21 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets will be feeling that they missed out on a big chance to steal the lead in the series after falling just short in Game 3. Nikola Jokic dominated the offense with 32 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists, Michael Porter Jr. added 18 points and 10 rebounds off the bench while Jamal Murray struggled as he finished with 14 points and nine assists on five of 17 shooting. As a team, the Nuggets shot 46 percent from the field and 11 of 34 from the 3-point line as they really took it to the Clippers right to the end, but Murray never found any rhythm on offense and that was the difference in a close contest.

Looking at the betting trends, the Clippers are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games against a team with a winning record, 1-5 ATS in their last six Conference Semifinals games and 17-8 ATS in their last 25 games overall. The Nuggets are 5-1 ATS in their last six games as an underdog, 11-4 ATS in their last 15 Conference Semifinals games and 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games overall.

Head to head, the under is 39-18-1 in the last 58 meetings overall and the Clippers are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Denver.

The Nuggets got blown off the court in Game 1, but they’ve really matched the Clippers since then and could easily be up 2-1 going into Wednesday. The Clippers needed to respond after getting ambushed in Game 2 and they were able to get the job done despite an off night from Leonard. George found his shooting touch in Game 3 and this series will be over quick if he remains hot. I think the Clippers win their third straight behind a bounce-back performance from Leonard, but the Nuggets have shown they can hang in the contest, so I’m taking the free points here.
