The Los Angeles Lakers will be hoping to stave off elimination against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 4 of the West Semifinals on Monday night.
Los Angeles Lakers Betting Preview
The Los Angeles Lakers are now on the brink of elimination after getting routed by the Thunder in a 131-108 home defeat in Game 3 on Saturday. Rui Hachimura led the team in scoring with 21 points, five rebounds and four assists on seven of 14 shooting, LeBron James added 19 points with six rebounds and eight assists, Luke Kennard scored 18 points off the bench while Austin Reaves chipped in with 17 points and nine assists. As a team, the Lakers shot 47 percent from the field and 14 of 30 from the 3-point line as they poured in 34 points in the second quarter to take the narrow lead at halftime, but the Lakers started to turn the ball over and got smashed by 74-49 in the second half to fall well short in the end.
Oklahoma City Thunder Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder are now just one win away from advancing to the Western Conference Finals after making light work of the shorthanded Lakers in a 131-108 win in Game 3. Ajay Mitchell led the team with 24 points and 10 assists on 10 of 17 shooting, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 23 points with nine assists, Chet Holmgren scored 17 points on nine of 14 shooting while Cason Wallace chipped in with 16 points off the bench. As a team, the Thunder shot 56 percent from the field and 17 of 38 from the 3-point line as they traded shots with the Lakers in a tightly contested first half, before they clicked into gear with 74 points in the second half to make it look easy in the end. The Thunder are currently 7-0 in these playoffs with six of those wins being double digit blowouts.
Los Angeles v Oklahoma City Free Prediction
The Lakers are still playing without Luka Doncic, while the Thunder have ruled out Thomas Sorber and Jalen Williams once again. The Lakers will be doing everything they can to avoid getting swept at home, but they haven’t looked threatening in any game in this series without Doncic in the lineup. The Thunder have been on fire so far in these playoffs and look set for a second straight series sweep after blowing past the Suns in the first round. There is always a chance of a gentleman’s sweep as teams with 3-0 series lead can sometimes lose a bit of focus, but the Thunder have owned this matchup so far and I think they finish off the Lakers with another comfortable win in this spot.
