Oklahoma City Thunder Betting Preview

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been in strong form as they’ve won six of their first eight games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after running past the Cavaliers in a 124-116 home win on Wednesday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with a game-high 42 points and eight assists on 11 of 26 shooting, Ajay Mitchell added 23 points with seven rebounds and four assists while Bennett Stirtz chipped in with 16 points off the bench. As a team, the Thunder shot 46 percent from the field and 15 of 36 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates with a 25-9 run to open up a comfortable lead which proved to be more than enough to hold off a late rally from the Cavaliers who were never truly a threat despite the final score.

Memphis Grizzlies Betting Preview

Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies look like they have cooled off from their six-game win streak as they have now lost two in a row after falling just short to the struggling Pacers in a 107-103 home defeat on Wednesday. Ty Jerome and Cedric Coward led the way with 23 points apiece while Zach Edey and Jerami Grant each scored 11 points. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 45 percent from the field and 12 of 44 from the 3-point line as they worked their way to a five-point lead midway through the fourth quarter, but they couldn’t put the Pacers away and it cost them in front of their home fans. Jaylen Wells couldn’t get going all night as he finished scoreless and the rookie Boozer shot just four of 14 from the field while committing four turnovers.

The Thunder are still missing Jalen Williams, Jaylin Williams, Nikola Topic, Thomas Sorber, Cason Wallace and Chet Holmgren, while the Grizzlies have ruled out Scotty Pippen Jr and Isaiah Stewart.
The Thunder have won 12 consecutive games against the Grizzlies overall and they are a solid 12-4 ATS in the last 16 meetings in Oklahoma City. With that being said, the Thunder are severely short handed right now which makes them vulnerable against the Grizzlies who would love some revenge here. It’s tempting to take the Grizzlies with the points at home, but the Thunder have been terrific on defense and they still have Gilgeous-Alexander to carry the offense, so I actually expect the Thunder to continue their dominance with another win and cover here.
