The Harvard Crimson and the Fordham Rams meet Sunday in college basketball action from Rose Hill Gym. Harvard is sitting at 5-1 overall. The Crimson took out Loyola IL in their last game. As for Fordham, they’re currently 5-1 as well and coming off a win over Stonehill. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Harvard opened up the season with a win over Morehouse 68-63, then fell to Louisiana 75-61 in game two. The Crimson rebounded well with wins over Elon, Northeastern and Siena over their next three games.

On Friday versus Loyola IL, the Crimson kept their win streak going. Harvard was up by seven points at the break and kept it going in the second for a 61-55 victory. Chris Ledlum led the way on 30 points and nine rebounds for Harvard.

Over on the Fordham side, they beat Dartmouth in their first game then fell in a blowout 74-48 to Arkansas. The Rams managed wins over New Hampshire, UIC and Holy Cross across the next trio of outings.

In the Tuesday matchup versus Stonehill, the Rams managed another win. Fordham took a 36-27 lead into the locker room and kept it going from there for a 71-60 victory. Khalid Moore posted 24 points, and Darius Quisenberry had 14 points with six assists.

PICK: I’m leaning Harvard here but probably not going near it. This should be a pretty good matchup and you could make a case either way. Harvard managed to shoot 46 percent from the field in their win over Loyola, bagging 30 rebounds and 11 assists along the way. Harvard has been scoring reasonably well this season with 68 or more points in four of six games. This one might be a lower-scoring matchup, however; Fordham should be a good test of the Crimson’s offensive capabilities.
