Michigan Wolverines Betting Preview
The Wolverines’ first game of the season was last Monday in the opener slate, a matchup versus Oakland. In that outing Michigan hit a 69-38 first half and closed on a 52-40 run on the way to a 121-78 blowout win. Morez Johnson was the top man on 24 points with three rebounds and three assists. Trey McKenney added 21 points and four assists, while Aday Mara doubled up on 12 points and 12 rebounds with two assists in 20 minutes of action in the victory for the Wolverines.
On Tuesday in their second outing of the year versus Wake Forest, Michigan was sitting pretty with a 47-34 first-half advantage. The Wolverines were stunned in the second half though, and needed overtime to power out the 85-84 victory. The Wolverines were led by Aday Mara on a double-double with 18 points, 13 rebounds and six assists. Elliot Cadeau added 17 points with seven assists and eight rebounds in 36 minutes of work on the court during the victory.
TCU Horned Frogs Betting Preview
Over on the TCU side, they’ve got three games in the bag so far this year. The first outing came last Monday against New Orleans, and the Frogs were stunned with a 44-28 deficit in the first half. TCU fought back from there on a 46-34 run but it wasn’t enough in a 78-74 loss. Leading the way in the losing effort was David Punch with 19 points and eight boards in 30 minutes. Micah Robinson added 14 points with six rebounds, while both Jayden Pierre and Xavier Edmonds each had 11 points and two rebounds in the defeat. TCU was able to bag a win in their second game last Thursday versus St. Francis PA. In that one the Frogs went into the break with a 53-29 edge, and closed on a 51-34 run for a 104-63 victory in the end. Tanner Toolson topped the team this time with 25 points and two boards, while Robinson doubled up on 13 points with 10 rebounds. Edmonds added 12 points with nine boards and Punch scored 11 with eight rebounds and three assists in the win.
On Monday versus Lamar, TCU managed to bag another victory. The Frogs were up by just one point at the break, then hit a 39-27 run the rest of the way in a 78-65 victory in the end. Topping the team scorers this time was Jayden Pierre with 18 points and two assists. Three different players added 12 points apiece, while Micah Robinson chipped in with 11 points and three rebounds alongside one assist in 24 minutes of work.

TCU vs Michigan Prediction
I’ll take a stab on TCU. The Frogs really need to get off to a fast start here however, unlike their matchup with Lamar this week. That said, everything worked out okay for TCU in that one as the team eventually shot 50.9 percent from the field with a 32-24 rebounding advantage. There’s plenty to clean up though, like the 12 turnovers and the 16-of-24 (66.7 percent) from the free throw line. Still, the Frogs have scored well this year with 74 or more points in all three games so far.
As for Michigan, they were lucky to escape Wake Forest in their latest outing. The Wolverines were sloppy with the ball, coughing up 17 turnovers. The 4-of-25 (16 percent) from 3-point range and the 25-of-37 (67.6 percent) from the line were both sub-par as well. Michigan needs a much better effort in this one.
