In this article, we will formulate a Tennessee vs Kent State prediction for this College Football Week 3 game on Saturday, September 14th, at Neyland Stadium.  Let’s take a look at a Tennessee Volunteers vs Kent State Golden Flashes pick.

Tennessee Looks Elite

Tennessee looks like one of the best teams in the country and they sit with a 2-0 record. In the first game, Tennessee beat Chattanooga 69-3 and in the last game against NC State, they were able to secure the 51-10 victory. Nico Iamaleava had a couple of mistakes but he completed 16 of his 23 passes for 211 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Dylan Sampson is a star on the ground and he finished with 20 carries for 132 yards and two touchdowns. The offense really spread the ball around and there were eight different players that caught a ball. The offense will get the headlines, but the defense holding NC State to only ten points was quite impressive.

Kent State Is Bad

There is no other way to put it, this Kent State team is bad. In the first game of the season, Kent State faced off against Pittsburgh and they were defeated 55-24. In the last game, Kent State faced off a non-FBS team in Saint Francis and they were defeated 23-17. Devin Kargman completed 22 of his 38 passes for 193 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

Ky Thomas finished with 11 carries for 39 yards. Luke Florea finished with six carries for 92 yards and a touchdown. The offense has its issues, but the bigger concern heading into this game has to be the difference. If the defense struggles in this game this game is going to get ugly early. Kent State will meet Penn State and Eastern Michigan after this game.

Tennessee vs Kent State Prediction

Tennessee is going to put on a show here. Tennessee’s offense has been impressive the last two games and they are going to have no issue running up the score again here. Their defense has also been impressive heading into this game and they are going to really lockdown Kent State here. Tennessee is going to put on a show early and they are going to cruise here. Back the Volunteers against the spread here.
