Week 1 of the College Football season presents a matchup between the Boston College Eagles and Florida State Seminoles. Let’s take a look at this college football game and look at the DraftKings Best College Football Showdown Picks.

Before we dive into my DFS picks for the Boston College vs Florida State game, let’s review an important note regarding the rules and scoring for the single game showdown contests.

For those readers who are not aware, the rules and scoring for DraftKings single-game showdown contests are vastly different from the traditional classic contests offered by the platform.

If you need to review the specific rules for the single-game showdown contests, feel free to visit the Draftkings website.

*I recommend that all readers review the starting lineups for both teams prior to setting your DFS lineup for this one game CFB slate. Remember, once lineups lock on the Draftkings platform, you cannot swap players.

Boston College vs Florida State Draftkings Showdown Picks

Kye Robichaux ($5600)

Florida State’s defense struggled in the first game to stop the run, and it’s going to be much of the same here. Jamal Haynes had a strong game, rushing 11 times for 75 yards and two touchdowns against Florida State in the last game for Georgia Tech. To finish off the season last year, Robichaux rushed 13 times for 89 yards and a touchdown. He also caught two passes.

Robichaux is going to be the main running back for Boston College in this game, and he’s going to have a huge start to the season. Florida State’s defense is going to have no answer, and Robichaux is going to crush value.

Thomas Castellanos ($9600)

Thomas Castellanos is going to get off to a fast start to the season. As stated above, the Florida State defense struggled to slow down the run, and now they have to face off against Castellanos, who is a mobile quarterback.

Just because he’s a mobile quarterback, doesn’t mean he also can’t throw. Last season he threw for 2,248 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. He’s going to have a huge game here. Castellanos is going to smash value, even at an expensive price tag.

Jayden McGowan ($3600)

Jayden McGowan should be in almost every lineup you create for Monday night. McGowan was a highly sought after transfer from Vanderbilt who chose Boston College over South Carolina, among others.

Last season, he caught 36 passes for 383 yards. McGowan has a chance to smash value, especially at $3,600. There is a chance he gets shutout, but he could also easily found the end zone.

Caziah Holmes ($4800)

If you are looking to save money at running back, Caziah Holmes from Florida State is a great option. Last season, he rushed eight times for 29 yards and also finished with a catch. He’s probably pretty dependent on scoring a touchdown, but he does offer some real savings if he does end up finding the end zone.
