The Toronto Blue Jays get another crack Saturday at figuring out the Los Angeles Angels in Anahaiem after falling 8-2 and 7-5 the first two days of their series in LA.
Toronto led 1-0, 2-0 and then 5-4 on Friday but didn't lead when it mattered most, the end of the game. The Jays though conceded three Angels runs during the bottom of the fourth courtesy of Chris Nelson and Chris Iannetta RBIs. Colby Rasmus scored on a Nelson throwing error right off the bat. Edwin Encarnacion's single put Toronto up 2-0. The Blue Jays reclaimed their advantage during the sixth with Rasmus' groundout after Jose Reyes' HR. Los Angeles however tied it on J.B. Shuck's eighth-inning triple. The Angels then won the game on Kole Calhoun's HR along with a solid defensive ninth.

Jered Weaver (5-5, 2.84 ERA) trots out to the mound next for LA a winner in four of his last five decisions. The four victories happened to all be in Anaheim where Weaver will be Saturday versus Toronto who is 20-of-90 with 10 RBIs, six Adam Lind's, against him.
Weaver beat the Los Angeles Dodgers May 29 4-3 giving up a run during six frames. In four July home wins Weaver surrendered a grand total of one run during 29 innings. If Weaver brings his 'A' game the Jays will have their hands full especially if Esmil Rogers (3-5, 4.36 ERA) repeats July 29.
Rogers let in eight runs during 4.1 frames at the Oakland Athletics to fall 9-4. Rogers was also defeated by the Tampa Bay Rays on the road conceding four runs during six innings. On June 13 at the Texas Rangers Rogers yielded a run during seven frames to win 3-1. Rogers split away appearances at the end of April.
Last year the Angels raced in three runs during 0.2 innings June 8 in his last showing with the Colorado Rockies. With Toronto Rogers tossed two scoreless frames in two Blue Jays victories and one Toronto defeat. Los Angeles is 7-of-21 with three Albert Pujols RBIs versus Rogers. Going with the Jays as I try to follow up a 5-0 Friday with another winning day (331-232 for the MLB season on my free picks)
