Samsung Lions vs. Kiwoom Heroes – 7/8/20 KBO Baseball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

2020-07-08 05:30:00 EDT

The Kiwoom Heroes and Samsung Lions meet Wednesday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action at the Gocheok Sky Dome.

The Kiwoom Heroes look for another victory after winning 13 of their last 18 games. The Kiwoom Heroes have scored no less than five runs in 11 of their last 15 games. In their last effort, Kim Hye-sung and Kim Ha-seong combined for one hit and one RBI while Kim Jae-woong allowed five runs and six hits in two innings of work. The Kiwoom Heroes have won 15 of their last 22 games overall.  Moon Sung-hyun gets the ball tonight for the Kiwoom Heroes.

The Samsung Lions look to keep the ball rolling after winning six of their last seven games. The Samsung Lions have allowed five or less runs in 13 of their last 20 games. In their latest effort, Lee Won-seok and Kim Dong-yeop combined for four hits and four RBI while David Buchanan allowed one run and four hits in six innings of work. The Samsung Lions have won 18 of their last 26 games overall. Won Tae-in gets the ball tonight for the Samsung Lions.

The Samsung Lions have won five of their last six meetings against the Kiwoom Heroes, but the last 14 meetings have been split down the middle. Ten of the last 14 meetings between the Lions and Heroes have produced single-digit run totals.

I mentioned yesterday that the Samsung Lions are a team I’m going to continue getting behind with the way their pitching staff has stood up these last couple of weeks, and they went out there last night to allow just six hits and two runs. It’s even scarier when the Samsung Lions put together some offense, so it’s safe to say tis is a club feeling itself a little bit. You should like the Samsung Lions chances even more here with Tae-in on the hill, a pitcher who has a 2.97 ERA and 1.34 WHIP with 36 strikeouts in 60.2 innings. The Samsung Lions have also won five of the last seven games Tae-in has pitched.

I’ll gladly take the Samsung Lions in this true pick em contest.
