Doosan Bears vs. KIA Tigers – 9/11/20 KBO Baseball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

2020-09-11 05:30:00 EDT

The KIA Tigers and Doosan Bears meet Friday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action at the Gwangju Kia Champions Field.

The KIA Tigers look to stay hot after winning seven of their last nine games. The KIA Tigers pitching staff has allowed four or less runs in six of their last eight games. In their last effort, Na Ji-wan and Choi Won-joon combined for three hits and three RBI while Yang Hyun-jong allowed three runs and five hits in five innings of work. The KIA Tigers have won 10 of their last 15 games overall. Im Ki-young gets the ball tonight for the KIA Tigers.

The Doosan Bears look for a victory after splitting their last eight games. The Doosan Bears offense has produced five or more runs in 29 of their last 50 games. In their last effort, Choi Joo-hwan and Kim Jae-ho combined for four hits and two RBI while Yu Hui-kwan allowed two runs and five hits in five innings of work. The Doosan Bears have won 10 of their last 17 games overall. Choi Won-joon gets the ball tonight for the Doosan Bears.

The Doosan Bears have won 11 of the last 14 meetings against the KIA Tigers. Six of the last 12 meetings between the Bears and Tigers have produced double-digit run totals.

Im Ki-young has a 4.81 ERA and 1.41 WHIP in 88 innings this season, and he’s allowed four or more earned runs in five of his last six starts. Choi Won-joon has a 3.64 ERA and 1.30 WHIP this season through 81.2 innings, and he’s allowed a combined two runs and 11 hits in his last three starts. The Doosan Bears have the clear pitching edge in this contest and they’ve beaten up on the KIA Tigers all season long with wins in 11 of the last 14 meetings. It’s hard to make a case for the KIA Tigers in this spot, and you can make a strong argument the line should be a lot steeper than it is.

I have no choice but to side with the Doosan Bears and the cheap price.
