KIA Tigers vs. NC Dinos – 9/13/20 KBO Baseball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

2020-09-13 01:00:00 EDT

The NC Dinos and KIA Tigers meet Sunday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action at the Changwon NC Park.

The NC Dinos need a win after losing seven of their last 13 games. The NC Dinos have scored five or more runs in 33 of their last 54 games. In their last effort, Lee Won-jae and Kang Jin-sung combined for three hits and three RBI while Shin Min-hyuk allowed three runs and five hits in two innings of work. The NC Dinos have won nine of their last 16 games overall. Song Myung-gi gets the ball tonight for the NC Dinos.

The KIA Tigers look to stay hot after winning eight of their last 10 games. The KIA Tigers pitching staff has allowed four or less runs in seven of their last nine games. In their last effort, Preston Tucker and Choi Hyung-woo combined for six hits and seven RBI while Drew Gagnon allowed one run and three hits in 6.2 innings of work. The KIA Tigers have won 11 of their last 16 games overall. Aaron Brooks gets the ball tonight for the KIA Tigers.

The NC Dinos have won five of the last seven meetings against the KIA Tigers. Eight of the last 10 meetings between the Dinos and Tigers have produced double-digit run totals.

Song Myung-gi has a 3.72 ERA and 1.28 WHIP this season through 46 innings, and he’s allowed two or less runs in each of his last five starts. Aaron Brooks has a 2.61 ERA and 1.04 WHIP this season through 138 innings, and he’s allowed a combined one run and seven hits in his last 15 innings. While of these pitchers have been sharp this season, it’s fair to say Brooks has been the more consistent and impressive. The KIA Tigers are also playing the better baseball overall, so while they haven’t had a ton of recent success against the NC Dinos, they have a lot going for them entering this matchup.

I’ll take my chances with the better pitcher and the hotter team, backing the KIA Tigers and the slightly cheaper price.
