The Chicago White Sox and the Milwaukee Brewers meet in MLB action from American Family Field on Saturday night.

The Chicago White Sox will look to bounce back from a 7-1 loss at the hands of the Brewers on Friday night. Andrew Vaughn went 3 for 4 with a solo home run and a double as the lone RBI that the White Sox would plate in the loss while Zach Collins and Gavin Sheets each had a base hit as the White Sox mustered up just five hits as a team in the losing effort. Lucas Giolito took the loss, falling to 8-7 on the year after allowing one run on six hits while striking out three over six innings of work. Carlos Rodon will start this one and is 8-3 with a 2.14 ERA and 140 strikeouts this season. This will be Rodon’s second career start against Milwaukee.

The Milwaukee Brewers will attempt to build on Friday’s win with another solid outing here. Tyrone Taylor led the charge for the Brew Crew with a grand slam while Rowdy Tellez went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs and Avisail Garcia added an RBI as well to cap off the scoring for Milwaukee in the win. Omar Narvaez had a pair of hits while Kolten Wong and Christian Yelich each had base hits to round out Milwaukee’s offense as a team in the victory. Freddy Peralta threw four shutout innings, allowing just one hit while striking out five, but it was Adrian Houser who got the win in relief to improve to 6-5 on the year. Corbin Burnes will start here and is 5-4 with a 2.16 ERA and 140 strikeouts this season. This will be Burnes’ first career start against the White Sox.

Chicago is 5-1 in their last 6 road games and 9-4 in their last 13 games overall while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 Saturday games. Milwaukee is 37-14 in their last 51 Saturday games and 1-7 in their last 8 interleague games while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a left-handed starter.

This is a tough game to call, as both pitchers have had good runs this season. However, I do trust the White Sox offense just a little bit more than Milwaukee’s and Rodon hasn’t had the same issues with run support that Burnes has had with the Brewers at times. It’s a lean to the White Sox, but maybe a game that’s better to watch as a fan than bet.
