The Baltimore Orioles and the Detroit Tigers meet in MLB action from Comerica Park on Thursday.

The Baltimore Orioles will look to build on an 8-7 win over the Miami Marlins last time out. Pedro Severino had a three-run home run while Trey Mancini added a solo shot. Maikel Franco, Ramon Uriasand Ryan McKenna each had RBIs as well for the O’s with Urias belting a pair of doubles. DJ Stewart added a double as well while Cedric Mullins and Ryan Mountcastle each had a base hit to finish off Baltimore’s offense as a team in the win. Jorge Lopez allowed five runs on seven hits in just two innings in the start, not factoring in the decision. Tanner Scott got the win in relief to improve to 4-4 on the year as a result. Alexander Wells will start here and is 1-0 with a 4.35 ERA and 8 strikeouts this season.

The Detroit Tigers will look to build on their 17-14 shootout win over Minnesota from Wednesday afternoon. Every player that stepped to the plate for the Tigers had at least one hit and one RBI, with Erik Haase and Jeimer Candelario each leading the way with three RBIs and a double, Candelario logging a pair of two-baggers in the win. Zack Short, Willi Castro, Grayson Greiner and Derek Hill each had two RBIs while Akil Baddoo, Robbie Grossman and Harold Castro all had an RBI as well to finish off the onslaught of runs from Detroit in the win. Wily Peralta allowed six runs on six hits in 3.1 innings in the start, but it was Derek Holland in relief who got the win to improve to 2-2 on the year. Casey Mize will start here and is 5-5 with a 3.63 ERA and 85 strikeouts this season.

Baltimore is 5-1 in their last 6 games against a team with a losing record and 22-48 in their last 70 games as a road underdog while the over is 8-1 in their last 9 games against the AL Central. Detroit is 13-3 in their last 16 home games and 9-4 in their last 13 games overall while the over is 10-2 in their last 12 series-opening games.

Both of these teams broke out the bats on Wednesday, but I think we reel it in hereand get a more defensive effort from both sides. And as well as Detroit has played and not so much for Baltimore, these two sides haven’t been the most consistent in terms of consistent offense. Give me the under.
