The Chicago Cubs and the Milwaukee Brewers meet in an NL Central division matchup in MLB action from American Family Field on Sunday.

The Chicago Cubs will look to bounce back from a 6-4 loss at the hands of the Brewers on Saturday. Ian Happ and Willson Contreras each had two RBIs with Happ logging three hits with a two-run homer while Contreras had a solo homer. Rafael Ortega, Frank Schwindel, Justin Steele and Alfonso Rivas each had base hits to cap off the Cubs’ offense as a team in the loss. Steele allowed two runs in four innings in the start, not factoring in the decision. Scott Effress took the loss in relief to fall to 2-1 on the year. Adrian Sampson will start here and is 1-2 with a 2.53 ERA this season.

The Milwaukee Brewers will try to build on their win over the Cubs. Manny Pina had a pair of solo home runs while Eduardo Escobar and Jace Peterson had solo home runs. Corbin Burnes and Luis Urias each had RBIs to round out the scoring for the Brewers in the win. Christian Yelich and Pablo Reyes each had a double with Reyes adding a pair of hits to cap off Milwaukee’s scoring in the win. Burnes allowed two runs on six hits with 11 strikeouts over six innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Devin Williams got the win to improve to 8-2 on the year while Josh Hader closed the 9th for his 33rd save. Eric Lauer will start here and is 6-5 with a 3.10  ERA this season.

Chicago is 24-49 in their last 73 games overall and 11-26 in their last 37 road games while the over is 4-0 in their last four Sunday games. Milwaukee is 5-1 in their last 6 home games and 21-6 in their last 27 game three matchups while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games as a home favorite.

I’m not much of an Adrian Sampson or Eric Lauer fan, but these are two teams that have had issues hitting the ball, Chicago as a team and Milwaukee especially at home and I think this is a 4-3 game at best whichever way you slice it. Give me the under.
