Carlos Martinez got the win to improve to 4-9 on the year after allowing one run on four hits while striking out six over six innings of work. Alex Reyes closed out the final two innings for his 19^th save of the season. Kwang Hyun Kim will start here and is 1-5 with a 3.98 ERA and 45 strikeouts this season. This will be Kim’s second career start against Arizona.

I’m not eager to back either side here, as the Diamondbacks are back to struggling on the road and the Cardinals shouldn’t be in a position to lay this kind of juice. Instead, I’m going to side with the over. I don’t trust Arizona’s pitching situation and Kwang Hyun Kim is more than prone to giving up runs himself. I look for this one to come in over the number, especially on such a quick turnaround.
