The Milwaukee Brewers and the Cleveland Guardians meet Sunday in MLB action from Progressive Field. This will be the finale in a three-game weekend series. Milwaukee Brewers 

The Brewers scored five runs in the sixth inning on Friday in the opener, cruising to a win 7-1. On Saturday Milwaukee was out-hit 9-4 in a 4-2 loss. Starter Freddy Peralta put up 5.0 innings with three earned on four hits and three walks. 

For the starter gig in the Sunday matchup the Brewers will send out Corbin Burnes. In his 15 starts so far Burnes is 5-5 with a 3.96 ERA and 86 Ks in 88.2 innings. Burnes is 40-24 in his career with a 3.32 ERA in 150 games (89 starts). 

Cleveland Guardians 

Over on the Cleveland side, they were out-hit 10-6 in the Friday opener and couldn’t score outside of the seventh. On Saturday the Guardians scored two in the sixth in the win. Starter Tanner Bibee logged 6.0 frames with one earned on three hits and four walks. 

It’ll be Aaron Civale in the starting role on Sunday. Across his six starts this season Civale is 2-2 with a 2.67 ERA and 28 strikeouts over 33.2 innings. Civil is 26-23 with a 3.96 ERA in 69 career starts. 

The Brewers are 6-1 in their last seven Sunday games and 2-5 in their last seven in game three of a series. The under is 6-1-1 in Milwaukee’s last eight in game three of a series.

I’ll probably stay with the Guardians here. Also probably not touching it, though. Civale had a sketchy outing versus the Padres back on June 14, but he’s coming off two earned in 6.2 innings versus Oakland his last time up. On Saturday Cleveland came back from an early 2-0 deficit and powered out the victory. I like the Guardians to keep it going in game two.
