ANDREW’S FREE PICK
I’ll likely stick with the Tigers in this one. McKenzie has had a rough year with all the injuries, and hasn’t had much to celebrate in the instances that he has been on the mound. In his return back on September 24, McKenzie put up 1.2 innings with three earned on one hit and six walks. If he can’t get the free passes under control, Detroit will have some baserunners early on. In the Friday opener of this set, the Tigers did pretty well on the mound after Joey Wentz (2.1 innings; seven earned) exited. Detroit has five or more runs in each of the last three games, so the offense should deliver on Saturday.
