Miami Marlins vs. Milwaukee Brewers
July 25, 2025 4:10 pm EDT

Major League Baseball presents FanDuel baseball fans with a National League matchup featuring the Miami Marlins and the Milwaukee Brewers. Let’s take a look at this MLB game from a DFS perspective.

Before we dive into the Miami Marlins vs. Milwaukee Brewers game let’s review the rules for the FanDuel single game showdown contest.

FanDuel Single Game Contest Rules

Here are the FanDuel single game contest rules. You have $60,000 to utilize on five players from either team. However, one of those players will be designated as your team MVP. The MVP accumulates 1.5x times the standard FanDuel fantasy points value. Additionally, the MVP is 1.5 times the standard cost of the flex position.

The remaining five players in your lineup will be flex plays. The five flex positions will receive the standard FanDuel points value. Having stated that, it is highly important for you to identify the correct player for your MVP position if you hope to win a large field GPP (guaranteed prize pool) FanDuel single game contest.

If you have additional questions regarding the rules for the single game contest, I highly recommend that you check out the FanDuel website for more details.

*It should be noted that FanDuel does not utilize the pitcher position in single game MLB contests. Having stated that, only batters are available for single game MLB lineups on the FanDuel platform.

Here are my FanDuel picks for this afternoon’s Marlins vs. Brewers matchup.

FanDuel MLB DFS Picks

MVP-Jackson Chourio, Outfielder, Milwaukee Brewers $12,600

On Friday afternoon, Major League Baseball presents the opening game of a three-game National League series featuring the Miami Marlins and the Milwaukee Brewers.

How are these two teams playing entering today’s MLB game? The Milwaukee Brewers arrive at the first game of this three-game series with the Miami Marlins playing good baseball. The Brewers have won 12 of the team’s last 13 games played in the 2025 MLB regular season, including a 2-0 shutout win over the Los Angeles Dodgers last week.

Similar to the Milwaukee Brewers, the Miami Marlins are playing quality baseball entering this evening’s National League game. The Marlins have won six of the team’s last eight games played this season, including a 4-3 victory over the San Diego Padres three days ago.

Now that we have determined how both of these teams are currently playing let’s shift our focus to this afternoon’s MLB contest. Talented outfielder Jackson Chourio has certainly been an important part of the Los Angeles Angels starting lineup in 2025. Having stated that, how has Chourio performed from a statistical perspective? Let’s review the veteran outfielder’s relevant game data from the 2025 MLB regular season to answer that question.

In the 101 games that Jackson Chourio has played for the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2025 MLB regular season, Chourio has compiled a .269 batting average, 16 home runs, 19 walks, 65 RBIs (runs batted in), 68 runs scored, a .302 OBP (On-Base Percentage) and a .758 OPS (On-Base Plus Slugging).

More recently, in the Milwaukee Brewers 10-2 win over the Seattle Mariners two days ago, Jackson Chourio certainly played at a high level. In the Brewers victory over the Mariners, Chourio tallied two hits, one run scored, one RBI and one stolen base. It should also be noted that in Milwaukee’s defeat of the Mariners, Chourio tallied 18.7 FanDuel points.

In my opinion, Jackson Chourio is the most likely player to amass the most FanDuel points in this MLB game. For that specific reason, I am backing Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio at the MVP position for this one game MLB DFS slate.

Flex plays I like in this game (FanDuel price noted): William Contreras, Catcher (Milwaukee Brewers) $8,800: Kyle Stowers, Outfielder (Miami Marlins) $13,000.
